Review of Graze

A few weeks ago I learned about Graze through a friend. Graze is a new program that delivers a box of snacks (a Nibble Box, if you prefer) to your door every two weeks. The snacks are perfectly proportioned and packed with nutrients, minerals, and protein. I signed up, thinking that it would be the perfect boost in my big weight-gain/eating-more-frequently goal, and I was pleasantly surprised with what arrived in my mailbox shortly afterwards.

After signing up, I was directed to a list of Graze's different snacks, which I rated as something I'd like to try, or something to steer clear of. This is especially handy if you have an allergy (gluten intolerance, nut allergy, etc) and definitely do not want your box to include any of those items. After the initial rating of some snacks, the Graze team puts together a box for you and a few days later it arrives at your door for your snacking convenience!

When I get a fresh Nibble Box, I stick it directly into my work bag (the box is light weight and thin, so easy to tote back & forth to the office). Although my work offers snacks to buy, they're things like Cheddar Chickadees and Pirate's Booty. By keeping my box with me, I can avoid spending too much time at the snack corner with unhealthy options. I also really love that each box contains a sheet with nutrition facts. If I'm feeling weak, I'll grab a snack with lots of protein. If I'm feeling a cold coming on, I'll pick a snack that's high in Vitamin C. The little individual snack packs are also really convenient if I need to eat something in a meeting. Not only are they discreet, but they're not loud to munch out of. (Being that person with the foil snack bag that crunches every time you stick your hand in for a bite? Humiliating.)

Also can I express that the snacks taste awesome. Sure, I've had one or two that I wasn't crazy about, but I went into my Graze account and "trashed" them so that I'll never get them again. And the snacks that I'm absolutely bonkers over? I "love" those so that I can get them again in a future Nibble Box.

And no, this stuff isn't just boring trail mixes and nut mixes. Their mixes are chock full of stuff like lime-infused raisins, dark chocolate buttons, coconut flakes, dried pears, salt & vinegar peanuts, and caramel dipping sauce. Every time I get a box, I'm super excited to open it and see what's inside. When I signed up, I definitely was not expecting the snacks to be of this quality and taste.

But, I'm not going to lie - sometimes there are those days that I really just want some Pirate's Booty or Teddy Grahams or something unhealthy like that, and these snacks will definitely not fulfill those cravings. Graze is super handy if you're trying to learn how to eat clean, because the snack packs are great examples of what tasty, but clean, eating is like. Like I said, I joined Graze because I'm trying to eat more frequently in a quest to pack on a few pounds. I like that these snacks are packed with protein and healthy fats, so they are much better for healthy weight (and muscle!) gain than the aforementioned crave-fulfilling items.

So far Graze has been a great experience for me and I'm likely to continue ordering Nibble Boxes. If you want to try the service completely for free, click here or use my friend code CHLOEA5JP at Graze.com. Your first box is free, and if you decide to continue with Graze, then your fifth box is free also! If you don't like it, then you can cancel after your first box and be done with Graze forever and ever, at no cost to you. (Gaaahhh, I don't want this to sound like an advertisement because I swear I'm not being compensated for this in any way - I just think that Graze is a really cool new thing and that you should give it a try, especially if you're a big snacker or trying to eat better.)

When I first signed up, I was expecting to be let down and just stick with my one free box, but then I was pleasantly surprised and decided to continue getting Nibble Boxes. I have switched my subscription from every other week to every 4 weeks because I have a bit of stack up with my Nibble Boxes, but otherwise I love Graze and have no complaints about the program. It's such a neat little service, a bit of a novelty, but Graze is making my mid-morning and mid-afternoon snack breaks so much more exciting!

    1. Yes, that's part of the reason I pushed my subscription to every 4 weeks - the price! But I think that if you're not good about snacking, or eating clean, then it's worth the investment if you're using Graze as a learning tool.
